Furious 7 behind-the-scenes C-130 plane car drop

If you haven’t had enough of the Fast and Furious, the seventh instalment of the high-octane movie franchise will be hitting the big screens next month starring returning veterans Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and the late Paul Walker. While it’s sure to be action filled, it features a really cool stunt where a car is actually being dropped from a plane. Ever wonder, how do they do that?

We also wonder how much of it is real and how much is Hollywood magic. And the answer may just surprise you. So instead of having to wait for the DVD or Blu-ray extras, Universal Pictures has released its first official featurette, the “C-130 Drop” that takes us behind the scenes and offers a glimpse as to how it was done. Now it’s not the whole story, but it certainly gives you an idea of what it really takes just to make one scene.

After production was halted with the tragic passing of Paul Walker last year pushing back the original July 2014 release date, it’s great to see that its almost here. Fast & Furious 7, also called Furious 7 in Canada, the U.S and other countries, drops here in theatres and IMAX, Friday April 3rd, 2015.
